I know there are threads discussing manufacturers of larger-sized BCDs for big men but one I can't remember which thread it is/was and two I'm not sure if they're entirely accurate on-point for what I'm looking for.

I'm an ex-defensive lineman (ex by many years and more than a few pounds), 6'2", 350lbs and wear a 60-long jacket. Needless to say, I have to be cautious about my gear and never buy sight-unseen.

Can anyone make good/quick recommendations on a manufacturer of BCs which I should be looking at? Similarly, I'm also looking for a new wetsuit in the same vein. I stay mostly in the warmer climes when diving so a 3/2mm is usually enough. I just need one cut for a big, *formerly* athletic frame.:14:

I would also suggest something like a back plate and wing set up. I am 6'2'' 250 lbs and have the Diverite Transplate Harness with backplate and a 40# Oxycheq Mach V Extreme wing.

APEKS WTX Harness and wing. Look to get a custom wetsuit, it will be worth the effort.

I am 6' and 325 lbs and use the Sherwood Avid, very comfortably

A bp/w would work great for your needs.

Zeagle. The different parts come in different sizes. Makes it easy to fit the hard to fit.

Give ScubaToys a call. They're awesome at putting together a "FrankenZeagle" for large divers.
