Bayonet Filters.

Just got the Nikon 16mm, and they come with filters. What do you use the orange one for. some one said for Black and white. Why ?

Hello,

If you look up the filter number I think you'll find it's NOT orange but what is called 'light yellow-green' #11.

This filter will darken blue sky's and shadows, lighten foilage. If you use panchromatic film this filter will 'correct' it

Personaly I use a yellow filter and a red filter in my black/white work. This image was shot with a yellow filter.
