Hello All:

My UWLD35 kept stepping down in power levels after 1.5 hours yesterday. Pack is about 8 years old and has seen its fair share of use. It might be on its way out.

I have the older canister design with latches, which are no longer manufactured. I would need to have the cap modified to the latchless design and buy the new battery cannister, which will cost me over $1K. Anyone have recommendations on an aftermarket battery pack solutions? The charger says its for use with 18.5V Lithium Ion battery packs. I found the following on BatterySpace, which appears to fit inside my canister (internal diameter measures 2 inches).

Custom Li-Ion 18650 Battery: 18.5V 7800mAh (144Wh, 4.0A rate) Battery Pack with PCB in Star configuration

Capacity matches my OEM pack but I don't know if the discharge rate is the same. This pack has a max dicharge rate of 4Amp. Is this sufficient to properly power my UWLD35? Diving next weekend so will fully charge and monitor the light again.
