Well I've put this off long enough. My neck seal is becoming tacky all over and needs replacement. I was going to use the heat activated tape that DRIS sells to install the seal. The question I have is what is the best way to remove the old seal and all the old glue?

Call up DRIS. They're really helpful. I would also suggest that you get the wetsuit/drysuit repair book from airspeed press.

However, I think that if you have anybody but Bare do it, you may void the rest of the warranty on your suit. You might want to check on that. By the way, if you do send it to Bare, you're talking about one week for shipping, one week for customs, one week for the repair, and a least one week back to you.

Thanks, I'm going to order the new seal from DRIS anyway so I'll see if I can pick there brain also. If it voids the warranty due to something I did, that's ok I can accept that. But if it is in a totally different area well that just says something about the company. I did install my own P-valve (after Bare said there is no way it could be done) and they still warrantied my zipper, but it all may be up to the mood of the one working on it that day.

Heat gun will remove the old seal quickly. The glue doesn't need to be completely removed. Clean it off, do a prep wipe with MEK, then glue the new seal, or NeckTite on. Seal the edge with AquaSeal and you are good to go. DRIS uses the tape which is another way.

If you really want to remove the old glue MEK should work. Unfortunately it is banned in the USA so the few places that have gallons still available are far and few between. Try the local paint store, NOT Home Depot etc.

BTW I have found talc helps prevent the seal from getting stickier. Has to do with not washing the seal with soapy water and removing your body oils. The talc seems to absorb them.
