Hi
Which do you think would be a better drysuit for diving in new york.
The Bare D6 Supra Dry (neoprene) or the Bare Next Generation (shell)
Thanks

I just took a dry suit course. I have a shell suit, and a girl in the class used a 7mm neo suit. I used 20# of weight she used 46# at the last count and still had to add more because of the noe's bouyancy. And we were in a pool. Can you imaging how much she'd have to use in the ocean?

I dove the Bare D6 (or D7?). I only had to add about 2# of weight, compared to a DUI shell suit. She shouldn't need so much in the way of undies in that neoprene suit. I can't imagine how she needed so much weight, unless she had way too much air in the suit, or maybe it was just too big for her.

FOr whatever reason I have no idea, but she did have fleece undies on under the suit.

something must have been wrong i could wear 14mm of wet suoit and not need 46lbs of weight. she must have had a suit full of air.
