I have been to Barbareta Island several times and thoroughly enjoyed it. Does anyone know what has become of the private resort that used to be there? Has the island been made into a marine reserve?

Thanks for any info.
 
From what I have been told it is now owned by an ex pro football player. It is no longer available to the public. Pepper's family sold the island.
