Hi Guys hey I got a couple questions about Barbados,We are going in 6 weeks and want to dive with dive Barbados ltd are they any good?We want to dive the Stav how is that?Any recomendations would be helpful.

I don't know about Dive Barbados but I can defiantly recommend Lorraine Marriott of Bubble Adventures - Her focus is on Kids diving but she has a nice boat right outside Bridgetown and I’m sure she would be happy to take you out. I was there in November and got certified with her - Very cool instructor, knowledgeable and fun. Small 6 pack boat and they pick you up at your hotel and drop you off.

:monkeydan Wear them water shoes! and watch out for the sea urchins! There are tons of those devils down there you could be in 15 to 20' of water and the spikes from these would only be 3' under the water surface. Water was clear tons of fish, and locals are great, good food. I don't know were your from but sunny and warm would work for me. Have tons of fun. Remember to check out the side of the island the local go on there holiday beaches are awsome.

We're headed down Easter Weekend (Apr 2006) to complete our OW. Diving with Dive Barbados. We'll post some notes afterward.

Just returned (15th April) dived with West Side Scuba, two wet boats and a great team. I was there for two weeks, First week the curents were strong and the locals were suprised at the conditions viz was ok but not wonderful. Nice small wreck, cement ship, went down in 1976, lots of fish, large ray and turtles. We did drift diving that week. Sceond week things were back to normal. good viz. West side of the island is the best. East side very rough and not sure anyone dives there. Had a great time.

BTW....I sent a letter to the Barbados government as I could never get a clear answer from many dive shops whether or not shore diving was ok there. IT IS. The Barbados gov sent me an email answer the same day. Unreal.
