Ball Diameters

Hi, Is it possible to mix and match arms and clamps? ie does everyone use the same size ball diameter. Thanks.

I can't speak for each type, but I have Ikes and S&S. They don't work quite as well interchanged as there is a difference in size (the S&S also have a ?rubber/plastic? belt around them which may be the actual difference). My setup was a S&S arm to an Ike arm with a S&S clamp, and on the other rig it was same mix but with an Ike clamp. The Ike end was always looser causing me to have to overtighten the clamp to compensate to a point that I was worried about the integrity of the clamp.

I quickly switched back to my normal setups. The reason I did the trial was that I needed some extra width to my strobes on that particular day.
