We first heard rumours last week but it appears that Bali, that was supposed to be re-opening to international tourism on Sep 11, now, along with the rest Indonesia, may not be allowing entry of International Tourism until end of 2020 or even early 2021.
Bali reopening moved to 2021
Although no one has a crystal ball, this will likely have a ripple affect throughout South Pacific and the rest of SE Asia as already fellow nations had been affected by the lack of Indonesian tourists who are not permitted to leave their country except for essential travel. We hope that most of the huge fleet of Indonesian dive boats and resorts will be able to weather the storm by marketing themselves to the local market place, but it will put a huge strain on all the boats, resorts and the families of crew members, who depend upon the salaries to put food on the table.
As everywhere, Governments can change their plans and other factors may step into play but it appears very likely that this information could be correct. We shall endeavour to keep you updated as the crisis continues.
and I am here if you have any questions on specific destinations or trips and you can contact me by email or skype.
