In 2003 I got a mask and sent them off (forgot the vendor) to get prescription lenses put in them (was snorkeling at the time). I love these and even though I have limited experience with them I can see perfect with them. In fact, I lost my glasses in St. John that year while snorkeling on a beach and had to drive my jeep back to the rental condo wearing them - and getting lots of funny looks around town. I'm now considering carrying a pocket mask or another full backup mask in case the glass breaks on these or goes to Neptune's locker. My original pair when all said and done was a $300 investment. While I love them - I don't want to spend that much for my backup. I was considering those stick on corrective optics - I think called dioptics or something like that. Looking for some suggestions. I've worn contacts for over a decade and I guess I could wear a backup with them on but that doesn't help me if I'm at depth. I believe I'm nearsighted since when I take my contacts out at night I can read a newspaper or magazine held at normal distance with little or no strain, but when looking across the bed at the alarm clock things start to get blurry. I have a pretty good astigmatism in one eye.
