Background music - where to get it ?

Hello,

I found today that Facebook and UMG are now friends and they forbidden to use any of their files if you want to make your own movie. So, now i have a problem getting music for my underwater movies.

Where do you usually get your music, guys ? Its free or UMG owned?

Try www.magnatune.com. They have some great music published under a Creative Commons license, so if your projects aren''t commercial, it's OK to use.

I know nothing about Facebook or UMG, whoever that is, as sources for video soundtracks. But I do know that web server sites like YouTube monitor uploads for copyright infringements and delete them when they occur. I've been using royalty/copyright-free music I've purchased from SmartSound.com for many years and am well satisfied with it. Their music, combined with the proprietary SonicFire Pro software can do things you'd never imagine for your videos. Too much to try to describe here; check it out on their website. Especially look into the "mood-mapping" capability. Simply mind-blowing.
