I used to frequent this forum many yonks ago, but work then retirement got in the way.....
Anyway, I still dive, but nowadays only where it's warm - like Gozo (16th time next month!), Madeira, etc., but recently I scratched an itch and bought a 5m Humber Attaque RIB and after a LOT of work on engine, wiring, trailer etc. etc. it's almost what I wanted in the first place.
Took the boat up to Loch Sween and after a couple of 'adjustments' all was well. Navionics by Garmin is the best navigation software I've seen for a long time, and shows well on a 10" tablet. New ICOM radio and an old sounder completes the dashboard and some other bits being installed will complete the console area. Comfy seats are being fitted ready for another visit to Tayvallich 'very soon'. Not superfast - just 30 knots, but that'll do, and rides nice. Just need an A frame now, so if anyone has one that might fit, please let me know. Distance between the tubes at the transom is only a metre, so would need a 'wiggle' over the tubes to be a bit wider.
Growing older is mandatory, but fortunately, growing up isn't......
