I have a single Al 100 tank that I am no longer using (I acquired a pair of steel 120s that fill all of my current needs). I would like to find it a new/loving home. I am looking at getting $100 for it or in some combination trade for 80s or in some form. It is just out of hydro. I am in RI almost every Sunday (either FTW Or Newport) or if you are in the Greater New Haven area we can set up a meeting. Pics below

Rich, how buoyant is that tank empty?

AL100 are typically neutral (can't remember it that is with or without valve).

My experience with this tank is that it is negative when empty. The bottom of an Al 80 tends to cork a wants to float when empty. This tank dive much like a steel cylinder than an Al 80. The It is slightly biggger than a standard Al80. I would use it myself except I have a pair steel 120s that are my go to tanks. According to LeisurePro Al 80s are only 1,77 lbs when FULL.

deleted dupl..

That information is incorrect. If it is negatively buoyant 4.6lb when full and negative 2.8 when empty it only contains 22 cf of air. I have found Luxfer AL100's to be more buoyant than AL80's.
You misread. It is -4.6 lbs when full and +2.8 empty.

A typical Al 80 is -1.7 lbs full. When empty they are around +4 to 4.5 lbs. A typical steel tank will be neutral when empty.
