I'm on the verge of purchasing my third dive computer and am starting to wonder am I a jinx or do these things just not last very long. I'd be curious to know how many of you have managed to hang on to the same computer for a number of years.

I bought mine used, but the date stamped on it is from 2001.

PS It's an Oceanic Pro Plus.

Suuonto Cobra 5+

I'm on my 4th computer in 3 years.... I've only bought two of them though... :)

The first one was an air integrated Oceanic Data Max computer ... It didn't do Nitrox and I wanted a wrist computer without air integration so I bought a Scubapro/Uwatec Aladic Tec wrist computer ... I broke a battery clip on it .. sent it back .. got another one for free on warranty ... Then the infrared port died on it ... so now I got Uwatec Aladin Tec 2g wrist for free on warranty. :D
