Was I the only one who got wet last weekend?

We got four dives in over the weekend. Despite continuing perfect conditions on the surface visibility was down a tad from the previous weekend so I only shot wide angle on Saturday and went back to macro for Sunday's dives. Here's a few of my favourites:

The friendly Estuarine Cod was still at his favourite cleaning station:

Haha I posted my weekend dives in last fortnight's thread too! So yes I did get out on the weekend but I won't repeat myself :) Great pics Gudge!

Did two dives this week so far. The first was last night with burna and two other buddies :) We did a site called South Road Bommie. This site can be hard to get right as any bit of wind ruins it, but yesterday we had almost no wind so it was very calm and the viz at least 10m! Saw lots of different critters including a heap of nudibranches. Here are some pics:

Beautiful anemone - I love the colour of these

Hehe thought this one was funny, a starfish hitching a ride on a stingray

I like to think of these starfish as 'woolly starfish' as they look like they've been knitted

Toadfish - I think this is the first shot of these where I have their face and not their arse facing the camera

This morning I did another dive - I am a bit tired at work after a night dive last night and a dawn dive today! - at a new pier for me - Mordialloc Pier. It was dark when we got in but by the end of the dive the sun had come up so that was interesting to see :) I have only done the reverse :) Saw lots of blennies, few seahorses and lots of starfish. We saw one blenny that looked like it was having an epileptic fit in a little hole. We thought it was stuck so my buddy pulled it out. Anyway, then another blenny popped up in the hole so we think they were mating... I felt bad for our rude interruption! :shocked2: I have no pics uploaded yet as I drove straight from the site to work and arrived with one minute to spare :)

Some nice shot there Sas. I didn't see the ray. Saw plenty of abalone and little star fish and thousands of those pacific sea stars...man...what a pest they are! :shakehead:

Yea I know :shakehead: :shakehead: Dunno what will happen with those. Seem impossible to get rid of... This site seems to be one of the worst I have been too.

Gudge ... as usually fantastic pics, especially like the cod and moray.

Sas ... love the anenome and the hitchhiking starfish ... ;)

Hehe yea had to get a hitchhiking shot :)

ahh ... so burna is one of your buddies Sas

Yes, dived together a couple of times now :)

Here are some pictures from my dawn dive the other day :) Didn't take many on this dive as there was not a lot to see.

Pygmy leatherjacket, I loved the colour

A bunch of seahorses, I like it when they are in clusters :) It's pretty cute how they hug each other with their tails.

Blenny looking into the distance. This was the one we thought was stuck!

Sas ... Strange colour for both the puffer and the pygmy leatherjacket

and the blenny ... probably just dreaming of what might have been except for the interruption :0

great shots as usual Gudge and Sas. I am sooo in need of a dive... :dramaqueen:
