I have been using the TX100 since '99 and like it a lot. I need to pick up a 2nd reg and was considering the ATX 200. (Need 2 HP ports and no swivel). Might go with another TX100 (they will be phased out in September) but would not mind trying something new...thus the ATX200.

Have heard from some people say that while prone looking forward they bang the back of their heads into the envirometally sealed 1st stage (why did they put it on top anyway?).

Anybody have any experience with this? Any performance thoughts between the TX100 and ATX200? (of course Aqualung's modified Apeks reg. the Legend LX is a mild curiosity too...hmmm.)

Thanks very much!!

If you're ever planning on diving doubles it would probably be wise to get another TX100. That way you could have one of each on each post. Otherwise it would be 2 different first stages. While it would work I'd prefer 2 of the same. You could just buy 2 ATX 200's though. But if you just want 2 regs and not 3 I'd get the TX100.

By the way, I have one new in box for sale. I got to many of them and need to get rid of one. I use them on my doubles.

For doubles the 100 has port angles that provide for cleaner hose routing. Check out the pics on the wkpp site

Not at all after over 40 dives with my ATX200... I actually really like the hose routing.
