First off, yes, there is a 'Scuba Poetry' sub forum on Scubaboard. It's been deserted for a couple of years.

Some of you who know me know that I have a side hustle as a publisher and writer. I'm tangentially involved in the literary community of the Twin Cities.

When the lockdown started, a group of Minneapolis poets came together and started an online 'open mic' show. Some of the state's most beloved poets showed up and it was pretty amazing. Now it's growing and has become a 'thing' hosted in my basement party bar on a big screen TV. The event is run on the Zoom video platform and broadcast live on Youtube.

Here's a promo...

Every performer gets 5-7 minutes to recite poetry, sing, tell stories or jokes.

Saturday 7:30PM CST

If you want to be part of the show email basementbar2020@gmail.com to sign up.
