Hi,

the manual of my new underwater housing and wide angle lens (epoque dcl-20) is written in poor english and I wanted to double-check whether I got it right. It says that I have to attach the lens below water to fill the airspace between housing and lens. Is this correct/common practice?

Donna uses the same lens, with the canon wp-v1. The housing lens mount has holes in it to let the water in. sometimes she gets bubbles or dirt in between the lenses and she has to take it off to get the dirt out.

thanks, I noticed the slots but didn't realize that they'd let water in and fill the gap when the lens is screwed on. the display of of my sanyo hd2000 isn't crisp enough to tell whether a picture is in focus or not. this makes it hard to get all camera settings right...
