Tried to search but not lucky in that today: what changes has atomic made to their first stages over the years? Iirc there was something called a jet seat but beyond that …

Tia.

Some minor changes to rubber covers. Round vent holes vs older square ones. Full top cover vs just a ring. Atomic has had an amazing run on its initial first and second stage designs.

To tie the bits together.

The original sharp piston and HP seat came with the "donut" HP trim. The jet seat piston and jet HP seat came with the "cap" HP trim. The cap change came with the piston/HP seat change. The trim piece can somewhat reliably be used to identify what piston is inside.

The other trim ring as noted started with square holes. They are round now.

The HP piston o-ring was originally a flex seal o-ring.

Other parts have changed material wise depending on the regulator. Mostly on the Ti regs.
