I've long been a fan of the 'elegant simplicity' of the Atomic Aquatics Comfort Swivel hose, and have a couple on my Atomic (OEM) as well as Sea Hornet Command Air regs (Universal). Seems not all on SB agree with me, but its a personal preference for having easy 360 deg rotation without having exposed fasteners that could potentially loosen or fall out.

My recent discovery of Poseidon regs got me thinking, love the compact form factor and side exhaust of the XStream but can feel a little unwieldy when turning your head with certain hose lengths or routing.

Soooo... I need a swivel hose!
I discovered you can in fact convert a standard Atomic OEM swivel hose into a Universal type via two parts 02-0254-00 Insert and 02-0251-00 Housing Swivel plus -010, -013, -014, -016, -017 o-rings. Ordered a couple of both.

While I was waiting for the parts to arrive I 3D CAD modelled it all to double check fitment...
I added a -013 o-ring at the base of the threaded Poseidon hose adaptor to prevent sea water ingress past the threads, just so happens there is a relief recess in the Universal Swivel Housing which by chance provides perfect preload.

Also applies to the Jetstream so long as it has an OPV on the first stage.

While this may have traditional Poseidon fans spluttering into their Aquavit I'm pretty happy with the outcome... thoughts?

I agree, @happy-diver !
I just contacted my dealer to see if Atomic would be willing to shorten my 3 idle Comfort Swivel hoses. They're all just too damned long, and would be even longer with Poseidon adapters. But if Atomic will shorten them and put a new 3/8" end on, I'm sold!

The Atomic parts arrived from the US, just updated my XStream with the swivel hose... a bit longer hose suits my setup.
Fitted to Jetstream octo to show how it looks.
A BIG improvement over the standard Poseidon hose!

Atomic will not shorten their old hoses for me.
Anyone have access to a crimper and end fittings?

Would something like this work?
Yep! Interesting.
A reusable fitting is new to me!
The challenge is that AA hoses are 14mm OD.
Bigger than others in my stash of 12.5-13.5mm.

I'm concerned I can't get it in the end...
No specifications in the Narked@90 "Specifications" tab.
I'll try to contact them...

Try silentdiving.com, AP usually makes reusable fittings

I have an AP Valves BC where the direct feed has reusable ends. Had a quick look at the hose and it appears closer to 13mm than 14mm.
