Atomic Aquatics has announced the new Cobalt 2 dive computer is in full manufacturing mode and now available to ship to Atomic retailers from coast to coast.
Easily one of the most talked about and popular dive computers in todays ever-changing scuba diving industry, the Cobalt 2 represents the evolution of the Atomic Aquatics Cobalt model that was introduced in 2010.
Todays divers demand performance and function and the Cobalt 2 delivers this is a big way. The Cobalt 2 is designed to build on the features and functions divers have come to expect from Atomic Aquatics products. Technology changes quickly and the Cobalt 2 features the very latest advancements, explains Doug Toth of Atomic Aquatics. Start with a state-of-the-art next-generation microprocessor that delivers a noticeable difference in speed when using the menu display and data intensive applications. This can be easily seen in the new digital compass that responds instantly with directional changes. Divers will be able to navigate more easily and comfortable on every dive.
The new design also allows for easier firmware updates and improved data logging making it perfect for all levels of diver from the beginner to the professional.
Toth also described a new auto-brightness feature on the Cobalt 2. When this option is selected, the Cobalt 2 automatically adjusts the screen brightness based on the available ambient light. This is not only convenient and highly functional, but it also helps lengthen battery life. Divers also have the option of adjusting the screen brightness manually.
Like all elements in the Atomic Aquatics product family, the Cobalt 2 is designed with the diver in mind. With the capacity to have up to six user-defined gases (including three new options), and a wide range of display options (deco stop details, PO2 limit alert, low battery alert, ascent rate details and more), todays recreational scuba diver using the Cobalt 2 will have all the dive details they could ever need and more.
The Cobalt 2 also features colorful accent covers available in five different shades (black, blue, red, yellow and pink). This innovative divers tool also comes with a specially-designed zippered protective case that protects the computer when traveling or when not in use.
