I just tried plugging in my Atom 2 to download some recent dives. Originally it recognized the PC interface and started the countdown to connection. For some reason my software (Oceanlog 2.1.4) would connect and say "invalid product" and ended the connection. Did this a couple times with the same effect.

I installed Oceanlog 2.2.3 to see if that would fix the problem. Now, when I connect the PC cable, my Atom2 will not begin the connection process - it doesnt say PC or anything.

It was (when I first attempted the download) indicating a low battery so I replaced the battery thinking that might be the issue. Still no connection.
I've tried the interface on two different computers - same problem - the Atom does not recognize that it is connected to the PC interface.

Both computers do say the interface is present.

Any ideas on this?

When you click to add dives, are you 100% sure the first dialog is set to Atom 2.0 and not another computer? I've accidently opened a log before, looked in the PDC settings area, set it to my computer then tried to add a dive using another computer because I didn't look at the selected computer in the first download dialog.

Yes, the problem was that the Atom was not going into PC mode when the cable was connected. It seems to be spontaneously recovered now.
Sad thing is that despite the fact that I changed the battery very quickly, it still seems to have dumped the data so there is no dive data to download... Oh well. I still get it from my other computers, just wanted to compare..
