Atom 2.0 and Aeris Epic?

So I picked up a 2.0 today and got it home only to find out it's the identical computer to my wife's Aeris Epic. This was very cool for alot of reasons (she broke her link wire, lost software, etc)

Our question is whether or not they can still function as a pair, ie can we use the buddy air function with any reliability or has the firmware of the computer itself been changed?

Yes you can. The transmitter only send out cylinder pressure.

So the transmitter sends out a non-proprietary signal indicating pressure? So, in theory, you could use a random transmitter in place of your own should you break or lose your's?
