Atmos XT tank strap

Anyone know how to remove the tank strap on the Aeris Atmos XT bc? I was hoping on replacing it with Apollo tank lock but the current strap won't budge. It seems to be somehow connected to the built in back plate. Before I start to take things apart, I figured I'd ask here for input first.

Great BC but the tank strap is not my favorite part. Already had one tank come loose. You really have to tighten that strap good. If anyone knows of a better strap I would like to know as well.

Well that's a question I can answer. Check out the Apollo Tank Lock. It's not a cheap solution, but the thing is bullet proof. I just can't figure out how to slip it onto this BC without taking the backplate apart.
