Has anyone bought anything from Atlantic Diving Equipment since Ray retired, and sold the company to XS Scuba? I have a harness, and want a weight belt from them. Is the quality the same since the changeover in January 2011?

Cant answer your question, but do you or anyone else know who actually manufactures the brass parachute-style release buckle that Desco, Atlantic, and Miller use on the weight belts? I can find them in Aluminum, but not brass.
Aqua Tech in San Diego use to make their own, before they went out of business. You mite call Amron in Escondido and ask for Joe Esparza. He might know.

I never followed up. But I would have to say that after getting some of the equipment in my hands, the quality since the acquisition, not only upholds the original standards that Ray would have upheld, but perhaps even some enhancements.
