I am looking into buying my wife a new BC for her birthday. Have it narrowed down to the Genesis Athena or the Zeagle Brigade. Any comments or thoughts? I dive the Ranger and she likes the fact it is sturdy. Any help will be appreciated.

I posted a report on the Brigade just a few days ago. Do a search for "Brigade".
All in all this is a nice BC. My first BC and back inflater and I love it. Like Scott said it is a "Ranger Lite" and if she wants to upgrade then she can at a later date with no problems.

ScottZeagle:
If she already likes the sturdy feel of the Ranger, the Brigade would be a good choice...It is a "Ranger-Lite" (All the taste, less filling!)

My wife loves her Brigade. It fits her great and she is 5'3" and 115lbs., and shapely, if you know what I mean.
