Interesting. Hopefully it wasn't the dive shop that sized this for you. What are your stats? I am thinking I am about a Large and a half! LOL I tried the XL on in a shop and thought it was a little big but that was before a wetsuit.

I am 5-8"; about 46 Chest, 36 Wait at hips, 42 at "belly"; and about 215.
