Dove 13 dives with Divearuba.com (Clive). Great dive operator for those who like to stay down and dive with small groups. He doesn't take more that 7 divers and doesn't require you to surface with everyone else.. if you and your buddy still have air, stay down as long as you want. I had very few dives less than 1 hour. We penetrated the wrecks while the other dive ops wouldn't allow their divers to go in.. good reason (18+ divers)

The vis was poor due to hurricane Ivan a week prior. There is still runoff. 30-40 feet vis was the norm except on the far south east side of the island where 50-60 feet vis. Clive says a few sections of the Antilla are collapsed- creating new swim throughs. also a mast has collapsed and is no longer exposed at the surface. All because of Ivan.

Clive has a set schedule which he operates so you don't visit the same site twice. The only downside- having to pick everyone up, go to his house to fill out paperwork, pick up ice, then go to the boat. But well worth it for the small group and large bottom time. Many of our dives were 3 or 4 other divers.

Water temp 81-83. Seas calm mostly.. some days 2-3 feet. Most dive sites within 15 minutes of dock.
