I found a website for a company called aeiseminars.com which runs a weeklong seminar on medicolegal medicine in the Aruba Marriott. It's deductible, cheap (225 dollars for MDs), and attendees get a 10% discount on rooms.
Better yet, it is offered EVERY DAY OF THE YEAR and can be started on any day. In other words, you can show up on any day of the year and start the weekly course that day and finish it a week later. You get CME credits too, and it's open to lawyers for continuing legal credits, RNs and residents too.
The seminars run 7:30 to 11:30, leaving the afternoons free to dive.
Has anyone taken this course? It sounds ideal for any MD, RN, PA, lawyer or resident to combine business with pleasure, get a deduction and a room discount (the room discount alone is worth more than the cost of the course, let alone the deduction).
Or is this a scam?
