Good morning This snow is seriously sucking, but I'm leaving for Aruba in 11 days!! Originally, this was just going to be a relaxing beach vacation, but now I'm wanting to maybe get a dive or two in while we are there.

I know it's not a top diving destination, but is there any good diving out there?

Try looking in the forum "Lesser Antilles" then click on the "ABC islands" subforum at the top. Lots of good info there. Enjoy.

Yes, there is lots of good diving in Aruba. The "Antilla" is a large WWII wreck that is quite an easy dive and is close to the Hotel area. On the South Coast there is also good drift diving over some very nice coral gardens. The Jane Sea, also a wreck/artificial reef, is also a great dive site.

However, the best diving is near San Nicolas, but conditions can be a challenge.

Some popular site's to avoid are the "Pedernalis" and the "Airplanes", which are both artificial reefs, but are quite lame.

Jane Sea is a nice dive...it sets at about 80 ft and you can cruise a reef to get there from the boat. Try Fly and Dive Aruba...they are located close to the wreck and have very small dive groups.

That's where I went for my first dive trip and had a great time. Opportunity for shore diving and boat diving. If you're only doing a couple dives you'll have a great time.
