I've got a charter set with Dive Clearwater for this coming Sunday. Anyone have info on current water conditions? Thanks!

3/28/12
Location: Spanish Rocks, Anna Maria
Temp: 70 degrees
Vis: 1-3'

Saw a few sublegal flounder and sheepies.

No reports since July 8th...:idk: Maybe I'm wasting my time in this dead ass section but went out of clearwater sat to 70 feet of water, 50+ feet of vis at the surface, prob round 30 on the bottom with lots of snot still. Water temp on the gps said 72, my gauge at the bottom said 70, flat on the way out and bumpy as hell on the way back.

Thanks for the report John. This is a valuable tool if people would keep it up. I have not been able to get out as much as I would have liked this year.

Went out of clearwater to 45 feet yesterday, big rollers and crap vis of like 15 feet. I forgot to check the temp this time because i wasn't cold so didn't even think of it, dude on spearboard said it was 63 on the surface in my area sat.

I wore a single piece, lined, 5mil w no hood, we saw jacks, jew fish (huge, like 600lbs huge), a gag or two and a couple reef sharks who kept their distance surprisingly.

Another quick couple dives in 45 feet out of clearwater yesterday, went further south this time chasing sunlight as the fog was heavy and hurting the vis. Never dove in the sunshine but vis up top was still a healthy 40+ and closer to 15 down on the structure. Water temp was 60 and i put my hood on for the second dive, seas were flat from 2pm till around 730 when we made it back to belleair ramps but like i said tons of fog. We saw several gags of good size, few short hogs and for the first time since last winter not a single shark sighted by anyone. I "collected" a decent sized black (i know its odd) and a few stone crab claws for dinner tonight.

Hit a secret spot in the bay yesterday, st pete side closer to gandy than the skyway. Shooting sheeps from 3 feet of water out to my max depth of 10. VIS WAS 10 FEET AT NOON but dropped to 5 with overcast as the day progressed. Flat calm (obviously) and I'm guessing 70 degree water temp.

Freaking awesome out there right now yal.
