I see one Scubapro cover tool from Scubatools and several from Scuba Clinic Tools. Is a cover tool necessary? It's not for my G260, but since I'm placing an order I want to prepare for a future where I also service other Scubapro second stages.

I serviced my G260 and used a dentist pick (bought on eBay) to lever out the pin. The cover should screw off.

Right -- I have no problem with my G260. I'm wondering if cover tools are required for other Scubapro regs though. I assume so, since companies make such tools. But ... ?

Depending on what you are planning to service. And some are harder than others.

Most round SP 2nd don't need anything special.
