i kinda started to answer my own post.

i found it intresting that scubapro did 79Million in net sales last year. Thats a lot of BC and Regs. The parent company did 40% gross profit so i guess you assume scuba did about 33 million gross profit also

I'm not sure i follow your numbers. They reported 1qtr 04 on 29 jan as follows
"Total net sales grew 15% to $62.9 million versus $54.9 million, with all
four Johnson Outdoors business units -- Motors, Outdoor Equipment, Watercraft
and Global Diving -- posting higher sales over the first quarter of last year."

if they did 54.9 in 1qtr of 03 that means according to your numbers they only did 25mill in sales for the following 3qtrs including the summer monthes. you might want to check your numbers. also i dont follow your breakdown of their divisions. how did you arrive at this? thanks

EDIT-oh wait i just reread your post, i might be totally wrong. i thought you were speaking for JOUT sales and now realize you said scubapro. your numbers might be fine, ill shut up.

from the 2003 annual report

25% of Net Sales
MARKET POSITION

SCUBAPRO and UWATEC sales of $78 million this year...

I was just amazed at 78million. thats a lots of sales.....someone is doing somthing right over there.

in 2002 they did 21% of net sales and 73million out of the 500 million market share. they say they are #2 in the market. Any clue who number 1 is?

JOUT was halted today. They got a buyout proposal. Now i really am wondering who firedogut is. Is it a coincidence that he was looking for a stock on the day it gets bought out? does he/she have an account with PETER BACANOVIC? Is that you Martha? didnt you learn your lesson? Obviously im kidding but a funny coincidence non the less. everyone at work thinks im dialed in because i was looking up their financials before the open.

WOW....
