We just got our Cressi-Sub Archimedes wrist computer from the LDS who ordered it for us.

When I open the outer box, I find that the inner box (probably sealed at one time) has been ripped open. I mean jaggedly, all the way across the front, making it useless.

Is this normal? Does the LDS do that to test the gear first and install batteries? Should I be concerned that something might be missing - I don't see a "contents" list of what should have been in the box.

Anyone here bought the Archimedes too? What came in your boxes?

Thanks,
cra2

The computer should come with a manual, a plastic "quick guide", a Cressi Sub Decal (can't live without that!) and make sure the scratch protector is in place on the unit...

That's what should be there.

no scratch protector, that I can see.
Do you mean a sort-of protective lens over the computer's face? Should it be an obvious piece of plastic that pops off?
I don't see anything like that.

Should the box have been ripped open at the store?
(assuming that's who did it - maybe it somehow happened at the factory, or during shipping)

Does the computer normally come with no battery in it, and maybe the shop thought they were doing me a favor by putting it in?

I tore the inner box of my Archimedes taking it out of the packaging. I imagine that the LDS pulled it out, gave it a quick look over, and then put it back together.

The early Archimedes did not come with a lens protector, btw. So I wouldn't necessarily expect this unit to have one.
