Hi There,
When I learned to Dive a couple years ago in Cairns Australia, I picked up the Aquapak brand underwater note pad. I used it once to make a sketch of the dive site as a reference but never got much use after that.

I'm leaving for Australia again tomorrow and wondering if I should pack it out not?

I seemed like a good idea when I bought it. Does anyone else dive with these on recreational dives? I don't want to be lugging around extra stuff unnecessarily.

Anybody else these Aquapak pad with graphite pencil on a regular basis for recreational dives?

Cheers

P.S I'm having a hard time cleaning mine, directions say use a cream based cleaner, any suggestions

Suggestion? If you can't figure out if you will need or use the article how in he** do you suppose that anyone on this board can figure it out for you?

Personally, I use my 6 page dive slate and graphite pencil a LOT while diving. It really enhances the limited hand signal communications. It also allows you to jot down notes about your dive to help make your dive log more interesting when you fill it out later. Things you saw. Questions you had. Etc.
