It the regulator review in divernet the legend LX regs got and excellent for dryness. The basic legend however was given a variable report. can anyone explain why there should be so much differance in what is essentially the same reg?

heres the link for anyone that's not seen it.

I really like the look of these regs but don't want to pay an extra £60 ($100) for a BRA and a funky snowflake. In case it makes a differeance it would be the Supreme version of both i would be looking at as i'm UK based.

Any help appreciated

I own a Legend and a Legend LX, except for the adjustable breathing resistance, I think they both perform the same. I personally like to be able to adjust the cracking resistance during a dive. You can however adjust the Legend too, there's no knob but all you have to do is remove the rubber end cap and use an allen wrench (4mm I think, maybe 5mm, I'm not sure) so I guess its a matter of personal preference. You'll like either one though, they breathe great.

All the reviews that I have read have said that the legend breaths well and is renouned for breathing dry. Your 'funky' snowflake and bra however, appear on the supreme models signifying cold water specification (env. sela + heat sink + lip shield) so I am afraid you are stuck with the flake and bra....
