It looks like my sister has decided to get married in Costa Rica. I was trying to stay at the Ocotel, but it doesn't look like that is going to be possible. So, has anyone ever stayed at the Flamingo Marina Resort?? If so, how is it.
Also, their on site Dive op is AquaCenter Diving. Has anyone ever used them before? Please let me know how they are (cattle boat?, down time?, etc)

Thanks!

I've never stayed at the resort, but did a trip from the Playa Flamingo Marina a few years ago. As I remember, the boat was a smaller center console/open fisherman style craft (around 25ft) that took 6 paying customers, a DM/guide and a captain. Crew was pretty decent, as I recall.

We did a local site that was about a 15-20 minute run from the marina called El Elephante (a big rock sticking out of the ocean who's shape resembles an elephant). It was fun and intimate .... fairly typical dives for this area.

I believe the operator also does longer day trips to Catalina and Bat Islands ... costs a little more but usually worth it if you want to improve your chances of seeing pelagics.
