Hi, I am new to Scubaboard and I have read a lot of negative info on Aqua World. I thought I would give my two cents whatever it is worth... I loved it! I got my Open water there a year ago. I thought it was a very professional outfit. My instructor Saul was great. He was very knowledgable and attentive. He made me feel very safe. The boats were like new, lots of people, but I liked talking to all of them. I have been back 3 times already. I have been diving a few places now in Mexico and all over California and I don't think I have had a better time than at AW. I know they have their problems and it can be a bit of a (meat market) but I would totally recommend it.

Can't wait for my next trip!!

Hi scubagirl,

Did you do one of their 3 day OW courses? Would you care to describe in detail how that went? I'm curious to hear it described from a student's perspective.

Thanks
R..

Yes, I only had a week, but my sister and brother were both divers. So I signed up got my books, studied all night. The next day I watched my videos, got in the pool, lunch, more instruction. The next day I went out on the morning dive and did my skills. It was different instructor so I was nervous. But he was excellent and he worked with me the next day in the pool and took me and the other student out again. After three days I was certified and hooked! It was a great experience. Now that I am in DM class in CA I can say some things they do are a little different but I think I had just as good instruction as I would have had here.
