Charlie99:Seaquest relaced the velcro weight pockets with a plastic clip system. 2 or 3 years ago IIRC. I believe that is when they added the + to distinguish between the two types of weight pockets.
SwimJim:As Charlie said the + has the plastic clip system. If you own the original, like I do, the velcro wears out somewhere bettween 50-70 dives and the weight pouches become self ditching. Most disconcerting and extremely dangerous. If you have the original I would personally recommend NOT using the weight pouches and wearing a weight belt instead. I have ten pounds in the non ditchable pockets. I used soft weights and found they too will work themselfs out after too many hard boat rides. I cured that by sewing them in.
I still use this BC and have something around 400 dives on it. It is comfortable and has good trim characteristics. With the exception of the weight pockets, the pro-qd is made very well. I use it for most of my single tank diving, even with my vintage double hose regulators. I have a bpw for more involved stuff or when I want to dive my doubles.

Thanks for the correction.ERIC.K:I really have to disagree, My PRO QD+ has traditional velcro weight pockets, so I was pretty certain that the + didn't stand for the new plastic clips on .
