I am planning a trip to the area for next year (2012) during the first week of April, and would like to do some diving in the Pensacola area. Can anyone give me a general idea of the weather and dive conditions around this time of year. What is the probability of getting out on any give day? Am I likely to find enough divers during the week to make a trip out, or only on weekends? I plan to get there on a Sunday and would like to stay for 5 or 6 days. Any info would be helpful ....... Thanks, sunseeker777 (Randy) :cool2:

Water temps will be in the Range of 65 to 70 Deg F. Predicting conditions is almost impossible. Cold fronts make their way down through April which brings wind and rain. You could have flat seas, great viz one day and then 3 to 5 ft seas and poor viz the next.

Thanks Jason. Any info is helpful at this point, but I guess I'll have to see what conditions are like just prior to going.

I got one dive in that month in 2009, and got 8 in last year and have 4 in so far this year, and if the weather is good, I am diving on the weekends...clearly it is highly variable.

Thanks to all that looked at my post, and to those that replied. I have a dive shop in mind, but any recommendations?
