narked@10:
whats the price of apeks regs in the us say an atx40,atx40 octo,3 gauge console
are they easy to get?
thanks

Without doing anything special like a million phone calls and scouring the internet, you should expect to pay (in US Dollars) around $450 for the first stage with one second stage, an additional $150 for an additional second stage, and somthing like an additional $150 for the 3 guage console. The console may be more, it depends on what you want for instrumentation. That comes to somthing like $800 for the set with tax and a few small accessories, but the prices will vary from locatoin to location, you may find all of this for $600 as a package or you may be looking at $900, there are lots of variables. The Apeks regulators are readily available at many dive shops, just look for a shop that carries the Aqualung line, as in the US Aqualung is the representative for Apeks. There is also the small matter of sales tax, plan on adding somthing like 5% to 10% based on where you get it. Mostly the difference in sales tax is a State to State difference with a very few states having no sales tax while most others have it. Most rental tanks here use the "A" clamp or "Yoke" style fitting, DIN is far less common.

Since you are from Great Britan the whole warranty thing that we worry about here will most likely not concern you very much, so you can do the mail order thing from Leisure Pro. I am of course curious why you would come to America and buy an item imported from your home country? Wouldn't it just be less trouble to get it right there in Plymouth? A quick tour through Leisure Pro comes up with a price around $625 for what you seek, of course you need to add shipping.
