Apeks XTX200 - baffling noise when breathing

The new Apeks XTX200 that I bought on eBay new, manufactured in June 2018 makes a baffle noise and vibration when I exhale. Noise as if Im playing a single note on saxophone or air instrument. It occurs when the exhale is slow and less pressure. Also happens during inhale.

This does not happen on the ATX50 I bought on here used and serviced before receiving.

Can someone point me in a direction that this may be? is it the diaphram?

Does it happen in the water? Or on the surface? If its just on the surface I would not worry. Some of my regs do that.

on the surface. Has never been under water yet.

It's really annoying!

good thing is you only need to breath it on the surface when testing before the dive.

To the point. It's not really a problem unless it's honking under water. Some regs will honk from the exhaust valve and/or the inhalation diaphragm when breathed topside.

My old 200 honked like a goose when dry.
As long as it's silent underwater everything is good.
