hi all, I just picked up an apeks tx100, in your opinion what is the best octo to mate this with, I intend to use the long hose with the octo/backup bungeed on my neck so im thinking a tx 40 possibly?
just looking for some feedback and want to make the right choice to save me some $ in the long run
Thanks

IMHO there is no good reason to use a "lesser" regulator for your secondary, especially since you're the one who will be switching to it. If you like the TX100 second stage, get another and use that.

excatly my thoughts, its a sweet reg no doubt about it, i think i will pick another second stage up and just stick to that..
need to study tactics to get this expense approved by the wife.. the battle begins :)

Actually, there are two schools. One is stick to the same stage, the other is to get a less expensive and simple model. Each school has their own arguement. It it up to you. I have set up my rig in both way, but I can't say the difference because I neve had any chance actually to use the back up except S-drill practice.

Get a spare second which is omnidirectional. However, some of these are high performance and might free flow. There are side breathers designed for this purpose. Try the Airwave or similar.
