Oh good. More plastic and lower manufacturing costs so the diving consumer can pay the same price (or more) for a 2nd stage that is insignificantly lighter to transport. I guess we will just have to look forward to a Apeks XTX###-V.

Yeah. I had the same thoughts, awap.

On a related note, although I don't think that making the second stages lighter is a bad thing, I am concerned that Apeks will be moving toward using more technopolymer materials in newly designed second stages that would necessitate certain compromises. Case in point: the Apeks Flight second stage (shown in the video above) requires the use of a proprietary Apeks-branded hose with a hand-tightening mechanism.
