Not being funny, but their prices are so keen it's worth buying new.

(Comparing prices in the UK with the US is rather fraught, but in the UK the prices make it worth buying new)

Do you want to upgrade? Sell me your used DS4 and buy a new one in the UK. We both win. :)

I've a bunch of them - excellent for deco regs. Generally get an ATX40 and a DS4 for half the price of what I paid for a Scubapro G260! (Before I knew what to look for!)

Just one? only first stage?

Yes, just one single DS4 1st. I am hoping for a good deal on a used one I can rebuild.

I have a pair now but plan to give one to a buddy going to Antarctica. I will want a replacement at some point, but have a lesser backup reg for now.

Agree, US prices for Apeks and SP stuff is out of control.

Anything Apeks of SP I usually buy from the EU. gidivestore.com or deepstop.de or scubastore.com are all good starting points.

€133 euro (~ $162 USD) for a DS4 Apeks DS4 First Stage - Gidive Store

I have used all of the website listed above.

gidivestore uses FedEx so it arrives fast
deepstop usese DHL so it arrives crazy fast
and scubastore uses regular snail mail but is a lot cheaper.

Yes you have to pay extra for shipping but you can always order multiple things with friends and split the shipping. Or what I did with my last order was I order like 4ea. SP MK25's with 260's/600's and sold them for $50-100 more than you paid on line (but its still a screaming deal to someone that lives in the US, Aus, or SE Asia) and I ended up getting basically a free Apeks reg and free shipping from the profit made selling the SP regs.

Very good indeed.
Paid about US$110.00 at least 22yrs ago and still using it.

I read from somewhere on SB recently that importing scuba equipment(private use) to USA is exempted from duties and tax. Was it your thread?

That was my experience. I bought an xtx200 tungsten from EU (Lucas Dive Store) and paid no tax/duty plus lower starting price. I combined a few items I needed too (flat rate shipping $50 per order) and paid less than I could get regular xtx used on ebay. Arrived in something like 3-5 days. That store would not ship SP internationally though..
