I realize this request has nothing to do with scuba (except that I am a scuba diver of course).

If it is appropriate, and you are interested on what this is about, then please read on.
The Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) organizes a fundraiser called Relay for Life. The CCS gets no government funding, and relies on the Relay for most of its' funding. Relays happen throughout Canada, and throughout the US on a yearly basis, and is simply a fun event.
This year, I am the chair for the event in my area (Lethbridge, Alberta). If you are interested, please follow this link, and you can pledge me. There is no need to create a user or a login or anything. The funds get used to fund Cancer research, and to make life of cancer patients tolerable.

As a Canadian, you get a tax receipt for pledges over $20. As a US resident, I would encourage you not to sponsor me, but to sponsor anyone on a Relay in the US, as you will get a tax receipt for that. You will not be able to get a tax receipt if you are a US resident sponsoring a Canadian Relay.
PM me if you have any questions.
