Anyone used this video light?

A friend of mine has these on order, now I am curious....

Sony HVL-ML20M video lights. They are a 20 watt Halogen light with a burn time of up to 90 minutes (depending on the battery). He picked up two lights at 150 bucks each and 2 batteries and a charger for about another 225.

His goal is to use it with his digtal cam, I'd be curious for both digital still and video. If they've got decent dispersion/coverage so there aren't dark spots or hotspots in the video that may be a heck of a setup for a bit over 500 bucks.

I'm going to take him down to the caves on my boat this sunday to check it out, couldn't wait 'til then to hear some opinions.

I suspect it might be a better option for full-auto digicams though it doesn't have the output of a strobe.
Depending on the setup at $500 I'd rather get a single strobe, ofcourse you can't use it for video.

Yes, have used a pair of these for several months and gotten some good result with a digital still, only problem was occasional hot spots.
