I just don't log dives
I've searched the site and can't seem to find anyone using the H.U.B. system. I know I'm a bit of a gear geek, but I've been intrigued by the concept of a completely integrated travel rig since I saw they were being released, and I just don't see them out there. Is it the price? Are they flawed in some way that I'm just missing? If you have one, please let me know what you think about it.

Cheers----Chris

Chris,

You've heard old sayings like "one's meat is another's poison", no doubt. Generalizations seldom hold up under much scrutiny.

But many feel that the HUB system is heavy, un-necessarily complex, and 'user-unfriendly' when it comes to maintenance and repair - "sustainability" in a word. (If one part is not functioning properly, other components cannot easily be used while repairs are made...)

Many feel that there are lighter, simpler, and more elegant solutions to equipment requirements.

Your mileage may vary.

Regards,

Doc
