Hi there

I bought a Canon G11 when they came out and the Canon housing and then I splashed out on an Inon strobe. This set up works really nicely for stills BUT when I take video clips they are obviously deviod of any colour. SO after much begging, the wife said I can get a CHEAP video light.

After a bit of research the cheapest "name" brand vid light I could find is the Ikelite Pro-V8 LED video light.
Has anyone got any first hand reviews?? Good bad?? Does it do the job??
Can you recommend another light in the same price range, US$250??
I know it is not a high powered light and am not expecting a flood light.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Hey there Ikelite Staff

I watched the vids and I have to say wasn't blown away by them. Most of it was filmed with natural light. On the few cases where the light was properly used/ needed it has a big shadow across a portion of the shot which means either 1) the light was badly positioned or 2) the light does not have a very wide angle of distribution. I really hope it is number 1!

Cheers
