Hi,

First off I'm a newish diver and a lurker here, but this is my first post, sorry if it's in the wrong place!

I found this camera on ebay, and can't find a lot of info on it... the only other thing I managed to find was this other site that seems to be selling the same one.

It looks to me like it's remarkably similar to the replay xd1080. Do you think it would fit in the replay underwater housing?

Have I stumbled upon a great deal or is this just wishful thinking of a newbie?

Thanks!

It looks like a replay XD1080 knock-off. The Replay is only a "Weather Resistant" housing. It could not be used for diving.

They sell a housing rated to 60m here.

Welcome to SB! I'm afraid this is wishful thinking. IMHO, no way are you going to get useable u.w. footage from a 50 quid camera. If you're looking for a budget solution, then a lot of people seem to be getting pretty fair results with GoPro - it could be worthwhile checking that section of the forum.

Cheers,
Matt

You might want to check out several other forums as well as here for a used GoPro II they are going rather cheap. But, I still am enjoying my Intova Sport Pro.

Thanks! I'm really only looking for a cheap solution to get me into filming some of my dives. I looked at a go pro but at the moment it may be a little out of my price range, especially as I'd rather spend that money on some other dive gear.

I was considering a hero 2 on ebay but I think they're just a little too pricey at the moment! The intova sport hd was on my radar too and I thought I found a great deal on ebay earlier but luckily before I bid I realised it was just an intova P&S! Anyway thanks everyone for your help, I think I'll wait a little longer before I make any investments. :)
